Ways to Give

There Are Many Ways You Can Support Us!

One-Time Gift

Please visit our Donation Page to make a one-time donation online.  If you prefer to donate by check, please make it payable to New Beginnings and mail it to: 530 E. Montecito St., Ste 101 Santa Barbara, CA 93103. Donations can be made to a specific program or to the agency.

Monthly Giving

Convenient for the donor, monthly giving provides the stable, continuous support so important to our programs. Your monthly donation can be charged to a credit card and can be configured through PayPal on our Donation Page. If you would like to pay by having us run your credit card each month, please call our Development Department at 805-963-7777 x122.

Event Sponsorships

To promote and expand our vital system of programs and services, we host an annual fundraiser featuring well-known personalities and guest performances. We also offer our Educational Luncheon Series to inform and engage our community on critical social issues. For sponsorship opportunities, please see our Upcoming Events.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Your donation can be used to make a meaningful gift in memory of a family member or friend, or in honor of someone special, perhaps commemorating a birthday or other significant life event.

Planning Giving

You can make a meaningful legacy gift by remembering New Beginnings in your estate plans, with a simple bequest, an IRA or insurance beneficiary designation, or a provision in a charitable remainder trust funded with appreciated property. Please visit our Planned Giving page for more information.

In-Kind Donations

While we have limited storage, we will consider accepting gently used furniture donations, high-quality dishware, clothes, or household items that would be useful to our clients we have recently housed. If you are a business owner or car mechanic interested in donating or offering your services to our clients, please contact our Development Department 805-963-7777 x122 or at development@nullsbnbcc.org. If you have furniture you would like to donate, please email a picture of the item to development@nullsbnbcc.org.

Flexible Financial Assistance Fund

The funds we receive from the government are limited and are often restricted for specific purposes. As a result, we are constantly searching for additional sources of funding that will enable us to provide financial assistance to our clients when public funding is not available. Financial assistance helps us end or prevent homeless by providing short-term housing assistance and allows us to pay for vehicle repairs or medical expenses for our clients.

Research Fund for the Safe Parking Program

Our Safe Parking Program is the leading program of its kind in the nation. One of our goals for the program is to establish it as an evidence-based practice. This will allow us to improve our advocacy efforts to secure funding sources for our own program and for programs throughout the nation. This is an exciting initiative that has the potential to make a huge difference in addressing homelessness in our county. With over 15 years of data, our program is one of the only programs in the nation that has the capacity to be established as an evidence-based practice.

Thank you for considering a gift to New Beginnings. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Our tax ID number is #77-0556795.  Your attorney, accountant, or tax advisor can provide additional assistance.

Here Are Additional Ways to Support Us

Introduce Us to Potential Supporters

Please contact our Development Department at (805) 963-7777 x122 or at development@nullsbnbcc.org if you would like to arrange for us to send newsletters or other material to your friends, family members, or colleagues.

Arrange for Us to Make a Presentation

If you are a member of a faith-based organization, a social club, or another community group, we would be thrilled if you could arrange for us to deliver a presentation either on-site or virtually.

Introduce Us to Landlords or Property Managers

We house approximately 175 community members each year by partnering with landlords and property managers. For more information, please visit our Landlords and Lot Owners page.

Introduce Us to Parking Lot Owners or Car Mechanics

New Beginnings work with dozens of faith-based organizations and businesses who provide their parking lot each night for our Safe Parking Program clients. We are expanding the program in Santa Barbara and into Santa Maria and Lompoc. We also would love to be connected to car mechanics who could offer their services for free or discount their services for our clients living in their cars. For more information, please visit our Landlords and Lot Owners page.

Volunteer

Each fall we are in need of volunteers for our fundraising events. Please reach out to our Development Department at (805) 963-7777 x122 or at development@nullsbnbcc.org if you would like to be added to our list of volunteers. We occasionally need support delivering food and with general office work.

How to Stay Engaged

Please reach out to our Community Engagement and Development Manager at (805) 963-7777 x122 or at development@nullsbnbcc.org. She is happy to speak to you for as long as you would like.
