Group Facilitator for Immigration Support Group
New Beginnings Counseling Center is acknowledging a need in the community for a support group for people struggling with issues around immigration / legal status. We would like to offer a series of 6-week psychoeducation and support groups for individuals currently going through the immigration process and their families. Included in the curriculum will be mindfulness strategies, stress management, and psychoeducation about learned helplessness. We are seeking a paid facilitator to adapt curriculum and lead this group in both English and Spanish. Time commitment is approximately 3-4 hours a week. Pay is $35/hr.
Duties would include:
Adapt Curriculum and Handouts in English and Spanish
Pre-screen group attendees
Facilitate group in English and Spanish
MA/MSW/PhD/PsyD in psychology or related field.
Licensed or intern registration with a minimum of 1 year experience facilitating groups.
Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English and Spanish.
Experience with providing immigration-related services preferred.
